David De Gea has sent Fiorentina a contract request after the Viola made contact in an attempt to sign the former Man Utd goalkeeper.

The 33-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has not played a single game in the last 14 months. Having retired from football after leaving United on a free transfer at the end of June 2023 UFABET 

Fiorentina are looking for a replacement for Pietro Terracciano in Raffaele Palladino’s new team. And have accepted an offer from Monza for the goalkeeper. Leaving them focused on bringing in a new keeper.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Fiorentina have been in close contact with De Gea’s agent to discuss a possible move this month. With the Spanish goalkeeper making his request clear.

The 33-year-old has asked for a one-year contract with the option to extend it by another year, worth €2m plus €1m in bonuses in the first year. And rising to €3m plus €1m in bonuses in the second.

Despite previous rumours that De Gea could move to the United States, the latest report suggests that the goalkeeper is in talks with Fiorentina. However, no agreement has been reached between the two parties.

De Gea has made 545 appearances in all competitions for United, winning one Premier League title, one FA Cup, two EFL Cups, three Community Shields and one UEFA Europa League.
