Inaki Peña has impressed for Barcelona, earning praise from Luis de la Fuente and a potential call-up to the Spanish national team in the future.
Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has hailed Inaki Peña after he emerged as Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper following Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury and has been in fine form for the senior team in the future, Ufabet Sport reported on Thursday.
‘Inaki is a great goalkeeper. He has been with us at many levels. I am happy that there are a lot of outfielders and goalkeepers who play for their clubs because that is good for their teams and for the Spanish national team.’
‘Iñaki is in every youth team, he is a key player. I am delighted with his performance and I am not surprised. We know his potential and ability and he still has room to develop,’ De La Fuente said.
The Bulls’ coach also spoke about Ansu Fati, the 22-year-old Barcelona forward who unfortunately suffered a hamstring injury during training with his club and will be out for about 4 weeks.
