Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas is confident captain Lionel Messi will be playing at their new stadium in 2026.

The Argentine star left Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 before moving to Major League Soccer. With his contract set to expire in 2025.

In September, the Red Devils announced they would move to Miami Freedom Park at the start of 2026. And Mas is confident Messi will extend his contract.

Messi made the move to Major League Soccer in the summer of 2023. Inking a two-and-a-half deal worth a reported $150 million. With only one year left on the contract, Inter Miami already have their sights set on keeping the 37-year-old in a pink shirt.

“I am very sure that Leo Messi will be there to open our new stadium in 2026,” Mas said. “

I will sit down and talk to Leo at the end of the season. And I am optimistic that as long as Messi is physically fit, we will see him in the pink jersey.”
